Summer is Almost Over!

We have had a great summer at Best Friends Gallery!  We started the season in May with the art show at the Alabama Writer's Symposium in Monroeville.  Thanks to Susan at Alabama Southern Community College for inviting us to be the gallery that exhibited this year!  It was a great experience.  We hope they enjoyed our show as much as we enjoyed being there.  Thanks to our artists for creating all of that artwork!

Then we started summer art classes for children.

Thanks to all of the parents who signed your children up for classes with us...it's by your support that we are able to be- Thank you.

We want to encourage off of our little Picassos to keep playing in paint!

We hosted a book-signing and reading event for the local ladies who wrote The Boat House Buddies. Thanks to everyone who participated!  It was alot of fun....and we are anticipating the arrival of books 8-10. 

We hosted a bracelet show for Casey Troulias, who sells bracelets to raise awareness about cystic fibrosis and the money she raises goes toward helping to find a cure for the disease.  Thanks to all of you who came out in support of Casey, and finding the cure! 

We helped the North Baldwin Coalition of Excellence in Education with the Summer Art Camp. It was a first time experience for us in the upper part of the county and it was a huge success! Thanks parents, once again. We are looking forward to next summer, although it will be hard to top this one!

Summer Class Update

Class is almost full...We have space for one more child in the Acrylic Painting Class on July 26.  The class starts at 10:00 and ends at noon.  Ages 5-9.  Will paint choice of flower, fish, or butterfly on 8 x 10 canvas board.  Supplies are included.  $20

Registration deadline is one week prior to class date.

We still have spaces available in the other classes.

We are just getting this blog up and running...check daily for our gallery happenings, as we have alot going on!  This month, we have classes on the following:

We will have Casey Troulias and Tyler Hoyt here on July 20th making and selling their bracelets that benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as they work toward finding the cure for CF.  Watch for more information.

We currently have about thirty five artists and makers of fine crafts exhibiting their work with us.  We will try to feature an artist each day, Tuesday through Friday in our posts.  Please bookmark our blog, get to know our artists, and if you find yourself in Bay Minette, come on in and see the beautiful artwork for yourself!
